Stavo per scrivere un commento dicendo che l'avrei preferita in taglio verticale 2:3 (solo la parte nera, per intenderci), poi ho soprasseduto.
Oggi la rivedo e penso che ha un senso anche questa inquadratura. I due lati bianchi comunque danno risalto alla 'scena' centrale, dove i volumi dei globi luminosi, la posizione delle due figure umane, le due finestre (peraltro non simmetriche), il lampione sulla destra e (la chicca) perfino il piccione risultano in un loro equilibrio perfetto.
E' bella così!
