Il monastero basiliano di San Giovanni Theristis a Bivongi (RC) è un'enclave di bizantinità in terra di Calabria. L'iconostasi, lo splendido lampadario e le icone delle Madonne a sfondo dorato sono semi di grecità che han messo profonde radici tra gli impervi e solitari declivi della Vallata dello Stilaro.
