L'8 dicembre notte, dopo una sessione problematica sulla nebulosa Pacman, ho indirizzato il telescopio per qualche oretta verso la costellazione di Orione,in particolare sul lato settentrionale della costellazione dove splende questa fantastica nebulosa. State osservando la nebulosa testa di scimmia situata a 2000 Parsec (~6500 anni luce)di distanza dalla terra. Il parsec é l'unitá di misura della distanza utilizzata in astronomia per esprimere le distanze stellari. 1 parsec equivale a circa 31000 miliardi di km o 3.6 anni luce. Questa foto è nata quasi per gioco visto che il mio obiettivo della nottata era un altro,tuttavia il risultato mi ha sorpreso (considerate le poche ore di posa).
