Scusa Joe, riformulo parzialmente il commento in quanto l'avevo scritto senza aver osservato con attenzione la foto.
Bel primo piano del papavero con colori saturi.
In circostanze analoghe, potresti provare (parere personale) a scattare qualche variante anche a tutta apertura (F2.8 o poco piu'), otterresti probabilmente uno sfocato piu' morbido che farebbe risaltare ancor piu' il soggetto in primo piano (una delle caratteristiche migliori del 100 macro IS, oltre alla straordinaria specializzazione macro ed alla sua stabilizzazione, e' l'apertura circolare a 9 lamelle che rendono piu' sfumato il fondale a grandi aperture).

Nice close-up of poppy with saturated colors.
In similar circumstances, you might try (personal opinion) to take some variation even at full aperture (F2.8 or a little more '), probably one would get blurred more' soft that would make it even more 'the subject in the foreground (one of the characteristics best in the 100 macro IS, in addition to the extraordinary specialization and its macro stabilization, and 'the 9-blade circular aperture that makes it more' nuanced large openings at the bottom ;-).)

X Claudio : grazie per il commento e la dritta, però in questo scatto ho voluto intenzionalmente diaframmare a 5,6 e ti spiego il perché : volevo che il papavero di sx fosse l'oggetto principale ovviamente, ma per farlo risaltare di più ho inserito e un po sfocato quello a dx, entrambi sui terzi verticali e + o - sui punti focali contrapposti per una visione che conduce lo sguardo in modo verticale dall'angolo sx a quello dx.
Comunque sono contento della tua attenzione.

X Claudio: thanks for the comment and the tip, but in this shot I wanted to intentionally diaphragm to 5.6 and I'll explain why: I wanted the poppy left was the main object of course, but to make it stand out more I entered and a little blurry one on the right, both on the third vertical and + or - on the focal points for opposing a vision that leads the eye in a vertical angle left to the right.
