Una rara specie di lemure osservabile in natura solamente sull'isola di Nosy Be. Di abitudini tendenzialmente notturne, passa le ore diurne nascosto nelle cavità degli alberi. Purtroppo la qualità della foto ha risentito della scarsa luce che filtra nella foresta di Lokobe.
