Bolivia - Potosì è stata definita "tesoro d'Europa e tomba si schiavi". Il suo nome evoca da un lato la ricchezza dell'impero spagnolo, dall'altro la tragedia di otto milioni di indios e di schiavi africani per estrarre, dal Cerro Rico (5000 mt slm) l'argento che alimentò lo sviluppo d'Europa. Questo scatto l'ho scelto come emblema per omaggiare i minatori che, ancora oggi, lavorano in condizioni non molto dissimili da quelle passate per estrarre lo stagno.
