Su un pino stroncato a metà dal maltempo, vi hanno scavato dimora una coppia di rossi maggiori. Per loro non c'è un'attimo di tregua, la giornata inizia e termina alla costante ricerca di insetti per saziare i becchi voraci che all'interno del pino reclamano a gran voce la razione di cibo. Mamma e papà si alternano nel portare ai pulli ingenti quantitativi di insetti, tutti tenuti nel becco, con l'incredibile capacità di non farne cadere nessuno. Arrivati al nido con il carico un breve sguardo alle spalle e poi dentro. L'imbeccata dura una decina di secondi e poi via di nuovo nel bosco alla ricerca di altro cibo.
