In fondo alla strada la cattedrale di San Pantaleone di Vallo Della lucania che avevo promesso di descrivere brevemente nello scatto presentato la scorsa volta. La cattedrale, anche Duomo, prende il nome del Santo Turco protettore dei medici, egli dedico la vita prestando servizio agli ammalati gratuitamente e morì martire, le sue spoglie sono presenti in diverse località tra cui Vallo. Come per il Santo Parthenopeo San Gennaro, anche il suo sangue nella ricorrenza della morte si liquefa, senza alcun intervento esterno né panipolazione. Il duomo di Vallo venne eretto intorno al 1700 per accogliere i fedeli in numero crescente nel territorio. Come si può scorgere in foto ad attrarre particolarmente lo sguardo è la cupola, visibile da quasi tutto il paese anche per la caratteristica copertura in maioliche.
