Ortona. Cattedrale di San Tommaso. L'attuale cupola è stata costruita nel 1946 in sostituzione della precedente crollata a seguito delle mine fatte brillare dai Tedeschi il 21 dicembre 1943. Gli affreschi nelle vele rappresentano i quattro evangelisti: Marco, Giovanni e Luca (realizzati nel 1974 dal pittore triestino Luciano Bartoli) e Matteo (dipinto nel 1931 dal pittore ortonese Antonio Piermatteo, l'unico salvatosi dalla distruzione del 1943) #Cattedrali #Chiese #Cupole
