Comando Aeroporto Militare di Milano-Linate. Domenica 10 Settembre 2023. 18:06. Open Day per il Centenario della costituzione dell'Aeronautica Militare. Gli F-104 versione “G” in dotazione alla nostra aeronautica sono stati fabbricati tra il 1963 e il 1966, alcuni presso gli stabilimenti della Lockheed in California, altri assemblati in Italia dalla FIAT Avio utilizzando componenti importati dalla Lockheed. Questo esemplare, appartenuto al 3° stormo intitolato a Carlo Emanuele Buscaglia (eroico pilota di aerosiluranti nella II G.M.), è stato radiato nel marzo del 1983 ed è conservato nell'aeroporto militare di Villafranca presso Verona. Dal momento che non vola più da 40 anni, deduco che è stato portato quì su di un camion. In questo Open Day erano presenti anche un Tornado e un Typhoon nei quali si poteva solo guardare nell'abitacolo sotto la sorveglianza di un militare dell'Aeronautica.
