S. Maria della Pietà - Bologna - L'Urlo di Pietra- Così un giovanissimo Gabriele D'Annunzio definì il dolore della Maddalena alla vista del Cristo morto. Opera di Niccolò dell'Arca sec. XV - Alcuni storici e critici d'arte, nel considerare l'opera e la sua particolare plasticità nel descrivere il movimento, hanno ipotizzato che questo capolavoro del '400 possa aver ispirato alcuni lavori dei "Futuristi" all'inizio del "900. In primo piano Giuseppe d'Arimatea sul quale è possibile notare ancora qualche traccia di colore: l'opera, in terracotta, in origine era infatti policroma. La stessa disposizione dei personaggi all'interno del gruppo è da considerare arbitraria in quanto, nel corso dei secoli, è variata più volte e quella originaria non è stata mai descritta da alcuno.
