:-) An unequal challenge at 210 mm: either the first swallow or the last one on fire.... With electronic cameras it is better to try various combinations for the same situations and then throw away the bad results: here, for example, shooting with the shorter focal length between 70 and 100mm you would have had greater depth of field; Obviously the swallows would have seemed further away but you could have remedied this by cropping, that is, cropping the image so as to focus your gaze on the three swallows .... more in focus....

In truth I left the other two out of focus voluntarily but I did not want to cut the photo. The background was not particularly nice so since the first swallow was very close and I wanted to have a sharp photo I closed the aperture at f11 leaving the others out of focus. I took several shots but despite having published none left me particularly satisfied. Even the light was not the right one also the canon 70-210 is a good lens but certainly not a comparable lens with the L series. Sooner or later I will buy one. At the moment I am satisfied and continue to try in the field trying to document myself theoretically and testing from time to time what I learn to improve technically. I realize, however, that having "eye" and finding the right composition is not easy, it takes experience and predisposition.
