A sud del lago di Neuchatel si estende per 40 Km la 'Grande caricaie', la piu' grande area umida della Svizzera. Ci sono varie riserve,io ne ho visitata solo una, quella di Champ-Pittet nella periferia di Yverdon. Qui ho potuto osservare da vicino la vita degli svassi:la caccia,il corteggiamento,la costruzione del nido ed i litigi con le folaghe che spesso avevano la meglio e 'rubavano' le alghe usate dagli svassi per la costruzione del nido! Davvero una bella esperienza! (no crop,solo un piccolo ritaglio nella parte inferiore)
