Poppies and... Blades sent on July 03, 2023 (16:02) by Carlo Alfonso. 59 comments, 1541 views. [retina]

at 12mm, 1/250 f/11.0, ISO 200, hand held.

Very nice Carlo! Between nuclear, coal and oil, I prefer the visual impact of wind turbines! Congratulations and greetings, Massimiliano

The photo is beautiful but I do not like the blades in the prestigious landscape places, especially since they want to cover Sardinia with blades on land and at sea, so we are a colony :-/ :-(

I thought I would find another photo in this space, there was a portrait with the post of your son, I saw it from the hospital bed so now I'm wondering if they were not yet the aftermath of general anesthesia ... maybe a dream..
If the area is constantly beaten by the winds, the blades make them turn so ...
The landscape impact is not the best, it can be, more than anything else I would like to understand such an installation to how much energy needs correspond ... to me the whole 'is green and eco-sustainable history does not come back to me, starting from where I work; I'll be wrong...
Your photo, however, also gives thanks and beauty to human distortions.
maximum.

how much energy requirement corresponds
between
megawatt and megawatt and a half per blade
to understand a thermoelectric group (brayton-joule cycle) methane gas covers between 120 and 150 (if it goes wrong with the wind even 200)

Ciao a tutti
Carlo

When the cure is worse than the disease. I don't know who gives birth to certain picturesque ideas, like the ones you described... Since the wind resource is 'free' it should be used in an energy-unfavorable process making it advantageous, such as hydrogen production. It goes without saying that the fuel cells are clean and in the case of a reaction with a high temperature catalyst allow cogeneration. But to do this we need infrastructure that I fear not even the most fanatical environmentalists would really want.

Excellent PDR and beautiful colors; I think that if you want to eliminate the blades you can only clone them! :-D
Bravo Carlo, hello!
