Questo angolo dei Monti della Laga è oggi abbastanza famoso e frequentato. Le gole del Garrafo si snodano per oltre 2 Km, circondate da alte pareti rocciose che a tratti distano pochi metri l'una dall'altra. Il percorso che risale la gola è parzialmente attrezzato con corde fisse, alcune aleatorie, per cui è riservato ad escursionisti esperti. Spesso occorre guadare il torrente immergendosi nell'acqua fino al ginocchio, in numerosi tratti se la roccia è bagnata, può essere pericoloso perchè molto scivolosa. Il periodo migliore quindi è l'estate piena, quando la portata del torrente è minima e la roccia asciutta.
