With the utmost respect for the immense Robert Capa and his famous statement "If your photos are not good, it means that you were not close enough", we can however agree that, sometimes, to better grasp certain contexts we have to move away and broaden our gaze. This is the case of this photograph which, although the people and their belongings - as well as the unique birds present - appear very small and unidentifiable, shows us an interesting landscape of Mozambique and at the same time a way of experiencing the river as a center of encounters and exchanges. I like it very much.
Hi Riccardo Con il massimo rispetto per l'immenso Robert Capa e la sua celebre asserzione “Se le tue foto non sono buone, vuol dire che non eri abbastanza vicino”, possiamo però convenire che, a volte, per cogliere meglio certi contesti dobbiamo allontanarci e allargare lo sguardo. E' il caso di questa fotografia che, sebbene le persone e le loro cose - così come gli uccelli unici animali presenti- appaiono molto piccoli e non identificabili, ci mostra un interessante paesaggio del Mozambico e al contempo un modo di vivere il fiume come centro di incontri e scambi. Mi piace molto.
