Ho visitato Madrid, Berlino, Londra, Parigi, Roma, tutte splendide città, ma avevano tutte in comune un senso di incertezza, insicurezza. Non passeggerei per strada di notte con una reflex al collo, da solo, in una di quelle città. O potrei farlo ma di certo non mi sentirei tranquillo. Vienna mi ha sorpreso. È una città magica, piena di arte e cultura, architettonicamente interessante, ha il fascino di una piccola Parigi. Quello che davvero mi ha sorpreso è però la sicurezza che ti trasmette. Sembra di stare in Svizzera e non in una capitale Europea. Chiaramente c'é molto controllo, anche tramite videosorveglianza, e chiaramente la gente del posto é serena e trasmette anche al turista questa serenità. Questa ragazza, immortalata verso l'1 e mezza di notte, penso sia la perfetta rappresentazione di questa serenità. Una confidenza e una sicurezza incredibili nella sua passeggiata notturna.
