Grande importanza avevano , negli antichi eserciti , le vivandiere , donne del popolo che avevano il compito di sfamare e dissetare i combattenti . Particolare curioso : come avveniva nel lontano passato , quando le donne non potevano partecipare ad alcun tipo di rappresentazione , tuttora , evidentemente nel rispetto delle antiche tradizioni , a "Lu Bayò" le parti femminili sono assegnate a uomini , con evidenti e comici risultati : una accurata rasatura non basta certo a renderli più seducenti ! Qui , una "vivandiera" cede alla fame e pensa a ristorare , più che i "combattenti" , se stessa !
