La fontana dell'Organo idraulico deve il suo nome al meccanismo ad acqua presente al suo interno, che faceva sì che si udissero dei motivi d'organo. Costruita fra il 1568 e il 1611, è formata da un alto edificio di stile che prelude al barocco, progettato da Pirro Ligorio, la cui facciata è ornata da una serie di decorazioni ispirate a motivi floreali, sirene, simboli araldici, vittorie alate e conchiglie marine: quattro colossali telamoni, opera di Pirrin del Gagliardo, sostengono lo pseudo-arco; al centro un'abside nella quale, secondo il progetto originario, trovava posto la statua della Diana d'Efeso o "Madre Natura".
