Ho cercato questa foto per molti giorni, poi il sogno si è realizzato proprio all'ultimo giorno. Impressionante la resilienza di questa donna che a piedi scalzi, con un pesante cesto pieno di radici di manioca in equilibrio sulla testa ed il suo bimbo in braccio, percorreva chilometri e chilometri a passo svelto e deciso. I nostri sguardi si sono incrociati per un attimo, le ho fatto un cenno di saluto e di ringraziamento e lei mi ha sorriso. E' la foto a cui tengo di più ed è quella che mi suscita maggiori emozioni: ammirazione, stupore, curiosità, compassione, rispetto, preoccupazione ed allo stesso tempo fiducia.
