Andrena wilkella è una delle due specie di insetti impollinatori di Ophrys fusca subsp. funerea (specie documentata nella galleria dedicata alle orchidee del genere Ophrys). Nella foto l'insetto è posato su un fiore di Linum tenuifolium. Si notano numerosi pollinii gialli di Ophrys fusca subsp. funerea, adesi all'addome dell'insetto. I pollinii sono stati inconsapevolmente raccolti durante precedenti pseudocopule con i fiori dell'orchidea, che imitano le femmine dell'insetto per forma, colore, pelosità e feromoni. I pollinii sono masse agglomerate di polline collegate ad un dischetto adesivo (il viscidio).
