Il Danda Yatra è la festa dei fachiri e dell'autopunizione dove per tre giorni si svolgono riti e cerimonie per placare il dio Shiva e la dea Kali. i rituali si svolgono ogni anno nel caldo più torrido (a 40°), nel mese di Chaitra, nei villaggi vicini a Gopalpur e culminano nel rito finale dell'ultimo giorno.
