, 1/80 f/2.8, ISO 5000, hand held. Specie: Puma concolor

Thanks Alexander! Yes, it is quite difficult, in fact, be able to photograph it, albeit in a photo so 'disturbed', it is a pleasure :-)

I had already seen the scrolling section, but knowing how much it's hard to see the mountain lion in the wild, I thought it was a subject in captivity, so I did not open because it does not agree with this kind of photography.
Now there are rehearsed and since it is one of the cats that I like I decided to open it ... well ... I must say, congratulations: a beautiful document of a beautiful animal hard to see and even more to photograph.
Bravo, after 8 hours of research you've earned it!

Hello Nkoringo ... Like you I also do not approve of the photograph in captivity, as well as for the obvious considerations relating to the lives of animals in a cage, for me the beauty of nature photography is to understand the habits of the 'subjects' I want to photograph, follow in his footsteps and try to 'enter their world' without disturbing ...

For example, I learned that the park where I had the good fortune to meet him is quite useless to look for in the early hours of dawn as I would have thought, but much easier to see it during the hottest hours of the day, when the forest becomes too heavy and seek relief from the beach where comes the ocean breeze ...

Thanks for the ride and comment!

The approach to nature photography that I share, and indeed for me a passion for photography came as a result to that for animals ...
I saw your gallery on Alaska: meetings across and great shots! Alaska and Kamchatka tempt me a lot, I hold back a little 'time and the cold ...

Hello Nkoringo, thanks again ...
Alaska is spectacular, because it has difference of africa (I saw that you were in Botswana, very beautiful pictures!), You can walk and come eye to eye with bears, pitch your tent anywhere, so it's a different way to experience nature ...
As for the cold, I have suffered more in the Kalahari! hardly drops below freezing at night, the only thing that can weigh the time is almost always covered with rain, but once accustomed to pretend it does not rain everything is beautiful!

Tempt me ...

In fact I got too cold in Africa, the worst one night in a tent in the Kgalagadi NP and with a fever!
But you know that there a few hours after arriving in the sun and the heat ... :-D
