Auschwitz: Se in un primo momento, la presenza del ragazzo che appoggia un piede sul binario, non aveva attirato la mia attenzione, durante la fase di post produzione mi sono soffermato a riflettere: da quando nasciamo, toccare tutto ciò che ci si presenta a portata di mano, significa imparare, imparare a conoscere, imparare a valutare, a distinguere ciò che ci può dare piacere o fastidio. Quel ragazzo, senza dubbio uno studente, staccatosi dal gruppo, forse mosso dall'istinto più che da una determinata consapevolezza, cercava di stabilire, mediante un banale atto come il tocco del piede, un simbolico ma diretto contatto con il dramma rappresentato da inerti pezzi di acciaio. Forse più delle parole dell'insegnante, quell'atto gli ha permesso di capire.
