Palazzo Vecchio il Cortile di Michelozzo. Nelle lunette, tutto intorno al porticato, sono riprodotte le insegne delle chiese e delle corporazioni delle arti e mestieri della città, mentre nei riquadri inferiori sono dipinte, le vedute di città dell'Impero degli Asburgo, Praga, Passavia (Passago), Stein, Klosterneuburg, Graz, Friburgo in Brisgovia, Linz, Bratislava, Vienna, Innsbruck, Eberndorf, Costanza, Neustadt e Hall. Le volte sono arricchite da decorazioni grottesche. Al centro del cortile, in sostituzione dell'antico pozzo, venne eretta una fontana in porfido da Battista del Tadda e Raffaello di Domenico di Polo, su disegno di Vasari e con la collaborazione probabile di Bartolomeo Ammannati. Poggiante su un ampio basamento ottagonale, con gli ultimi due gradini rotondi, ha una colonnina di porfido che regge una vasca marmorea. Sulla fontana venne collocata nel 1557 la più antica statua bronzea del Putto con delfino di Andrea del Verrocchio (1470 circa), Le colonne sono riccamente decorate, con scanalature alternate a parti lavorate con stucchi dorati, opera di Santi Buglioni e Lorenzo Marignolli.
