In effetti gli ultimi giorni del mese di settembre offrono già da alcuni anni, nella pianura padana dove vivo, questo momento particolare.
Gli adulti insieme ai loro "piccoli" sono soliti radunarsi in gruppo lungo gli argini dei canali di bonifica dove dall'altezza di questi posatoi compiono brevi picchiate al suolo per predare le cavallette, quì molto numerose.
Si preparano così alla loro migrazione accumulando quanta più energia possibile per intraprendere il loro viaggio di ritorno nei siti di svernamento.
E così non è raro trovarsi di fronte a diversi esemplari (tra l'altro abbastanza confidenti) come quelli ripresi in foto.
