I had a Sardinian teacher in elementary school, I remember that we took from his lips when he told us with emphasis and pride the traditions, uses and customs of your land, Barbagia. However, I do not remember the name of the country. The carnival described it to us with such precision, it described in great detail the traditional masks of the Mamuthones that in my imagination I had imagined just like that. Black masks, furry cloaks, cowbells. But I confess that I had forgotten the Issohadore. Perhaps because the disturbing figures make more inroads into the subconscious of a child.
The image and text are more than interesting. Congratulations Ignazio.
Bye gios ;-)
