Foto Analogica - Olympus OM40 con 35-70 3.6 su Agfa APX 100 scaduta Perceptol 3+1 --- Il quartiere borbonico della Vaccheria nacque intorno al 1775 per volere di Ferdinando IV. Il nome è dovuto agli allevamenti dei bovini (le vacche appunto) provenienti dalla Sardegna, adatti sia per la produzione di latte che per la produzione di vitelli da ristallo. Si sviluppò ai piedi del Casino di caccia del Sovrano e crebbe pian piano come quartiere autonomo. Si nota al centro la chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, un unicum nell'architettura italiana. Progettata alla fine del settecento e inaugurata nel 1805 è in stile neogotico, oltre cinquant'anni prima che questo stile si affermasse in Europa. Un altro esempio luminoso dell'architettura dell'ultimo quarto del settecento in area casertana.
