Da un mese ormai nel mio terreno stanno iniziando a fiorire tante specie di piante, anche questa settimana, nonostante le continue piogge, sono apparse nuove fioriture. Qualche giorno fa ho visto anche i primi fiori di viola odorata, una pianta che resiste bene alle temperature invernali, preferisce le zone ombrose e umide del sottobosco. Essendo molto piccola e alta pochi centimetri si posiziona distesa sul terreno, creando in alcuni punti anche grandi distese di fiori. Come tante altre specie, non sopravvive al caldo e alla siccità. Avendo già fotografato tutti gli altri fiori nelle scorse settimane, venerdì ho deciso di dedicare tutto il pomeriggio solo alle viole. Fino a poche ore prima aveva piovuto, il terreno era fangoso, il cielo nuvoloso e la luce, oltre ad essere di tonalità troppo fredde per i miei gusti, era troppo forte per fotografare. Sapevo di dover aspettare almeno altre 2 o 3 ore e ne ho approfittato per osservare bene tutti i fiori e scegliere un buon posto per scattare. Erano le 17 quando mi sono posizionato sotto a degli alberi da frutto, i loro rami coprivano completamente il cielo e impedivano alla luce di entrare nel sottobosco. Le viole erano sparse in piccoli gruppi, nascosti a volte da altre piante più grandi; un particolare ritrovamento sono state alcune piante intorno alle radici degli alberi. Purtroppo a causa del vento e della pioggia alcuni fiori erano già rovinati, ma ce n'erano molti appena fioriti. Nelle giornate soleggiate mi piace sempre fotografare al tramonto con il 200mm e ottenere sfondi delicati e colorati, ma il brutto tempo me lo ha impedito. Ho fotografato un singolo fiore ad alto ingrandimento con il 90mm, tubi di prolunga e slitta micrometrica; ho posizionato 2 flash davanti all'obiettivo, non c'era spazio per altri treppiedi. Ho avvolto il fiore con un telo antipioggia per cercare di ripararlo dal vento, ma essendo molto piccolo e delicato continuava costantemente a muoversi. Intanto lentamente stava arrivando il buio, fotografare con il vento ad alto ingrandimento usando solo la leggera luce dei flash diventa più difficile. Sono stato circa 20 minuti ad aspettare che il vento si calmasse, poi finalmente sono riuscito a scattare. Sono molto soddisfatto di questa foto perché mostra tutti i dettagli e le colorazioni di questo bellissimo fiore. Con l'arrivo della notte il vento è aumentato e non potendo più fotografare mi sono ritirato. Ieri ho ritentato l'esplorazione e nonostante la pioggia sono riuscito a fotografare diversi fiori perché c'era meno vento; rimango però sempre in attesa delle belle giornate primaverili.
