Canadesi brava gente... tanto brava che gli uccellini ti mangiano dalle mani...!!! Ci troviamo a Burlington sulle sponde del lago Ontario per una breve passeggiata prima della trasferta verso il Vermont... Incuriosito da alcune persone con i palmi aperti e lo sguardo al cielo mi sono avvicinato per capire quale fosse il motivo... Basta qualche seme nel palmo, e un po di pazienza, per attirare frotte di uccellini a mangiare dalle tue mani chiunque tu sia. Ci si sente tutti come dei moderni San Fracesco.... che meraviglia...!!! «...et venne fra Cannaia et Bevagni. E passando oltre con quello fervore, levò gli occhi e vide alquanti arbori allato alla via, in su' quali era quasi infinita moltitudine d'uccelli.
