questo scatto è ripreso dalle pendici di questo cratere vulcanico del Centro Italia all'interno di questo vulcano spento si è formato un lago naturale dove affluiscono sorgenti dei monti Cimini che lo circondano, è un Parco Naturale ma vi sono permessi di pesca controllata e navigazione con barche di piccola taglia trainate a mano o con motori elettrici, la pesca è controllata e nel perimetro SUD del lago vi sono piccoli Ristoranti, Hotel,campeggi e vecchie ville private e piccole abitazioni di persone locali che producono nocciole e castagnola parte Nord è delimitata a Riserva Naturale Protetta dove convivono sia animali selvatici di palude che dei boschi Secolari adiacenti, vengono a svernare anche molte razze di volatili e si possono incontrare anche volatili che si fermano a rifocillarsi durante la migrazione,ho avuto la fortuna di avvistare per circa 10 giorni dei Cavaliei D'Italia che un gruppo di Fenicotteri, vi sono animali stanziali tipo: Poiane,Falchi di Palude, Falco Pecchiaiolo,Aironi Bianchi e Cenerini,molte razze di Anatidi e fauna acquatica che nidifica regolarmente tra le cannucce e nelle piccole paludi. sulla cima del lago tra i Monti Cimini vi è anche un centro Recupero Fauna molto attrezzata dove vengono ricoverati tutti gli animali feriti o in difficolta' che se provengono dal Luogo vengono Rilasciati nel Parco gli altri inviati nei Parchi Italiani di Provenienza. La Riserva Naturale del Lago di VICO è visitabile Tutto l'anno i periodi migliori sono tra Gennaio e Aprile perché poi durante la bella stagione è Molto trafficato avendo tutto il percorso che circonda il Lago Transitabile e coltivato da Noccioli e Castagni,molte persone lo usano durante il Wichend per fare footing e passeggiate famigliari e le coste dove vi si possono avvistare animali selvatici si spopolano, gli animali si allontanano ed è Molto Difficile Riprenderli, vi è la possibilità di addentrarsi fra i canneti e nelle paludavi sono anche 3 capanni di avvistamento, uno lungo la strada, uno tra i canneti molto nascosto e praticabile con stivaloni, un altro nella parte Nord-Est realizzato su una palafitta rialzata di circa 5mt. bisogna Fare Molta Attenzione perché si possono incontrare Molti Cinghiali
