Dicchi vulcanici - Pardu Atzei Gonnosfanadiga I dicchi sono corpi di lava di forma in genere longitudinale, simili a fogli, che attraversano e tagliano trasversalmente le stratificazioni di rocce adiacenti. Si formano quando il magma risale in fratture preesistenti o ne crea di nuove facendosi strada attraverso le rocce già eruttate in precedenza, per poi solidificarsi riempiendo tali fratture. Decine o centinaia di dicchi possono caratterizzare il cono di un vulcano, spesso allineati lungo zone di debolezza strutturale, in genere legate alle caratteristiche tettoniche regionali.
