La mia prima visita a Molin di Bucchio non è avvenuta per caso. Situato lungo la strada provinciale 556 che da Stia conduce a Londa, Molin di Bucchio era sempre un luogo che mi attraeva, ogni volta che percorrevo la provinciale e leggevo il suo nome nel cartello storico turistico ero incuriosito, ma in quel momento la meta era un'altra, finché una domenica il 14 settembre del 2014 preso la mia borsa fotografica con la Canon 40D mi recai a far visita al mulino assieme a Laura, mia moglie ...

... arrivato nel piazzale si fa incontro una signora dal fare molto gentile e si presenta, "benvenuti a Molin di Bucchio sono Carla, moglie di Claudio Bucchi proprietario del mulino" da quel momento è stato un piacere essere loro ospiti.

Da vera Cicerona ci ha fatto conoscere il loro paradiso, partendo dal fiume Arno (poco più di un torrente) che scorre a poche decine di metri dal complesso architettonico di Molin di Bucchio.

Il suo racconto inizia con le due ritrecine ancora collocate nel loro vano, poi ci apre la porta del museo, dove si trova tutto ciò che il mugnaio usava per la mulinatura, raccolto in due stanze separate da tre scalini che servivano a rialzare il piano di lavoro delle macine, dove avveniva la molinatura, tutto originale in legno perfettamente conservato, restiamo a bocca aperta davanti alla bellezza degli ambienti.

Usciti saliamo le scale per giungere alla loggetta dove fa bella mostra il vecchio forno a legna, che Claudio sa come usare, sfornando meraviglie per il palato.

Carla apre la porta della cucina ottocentesca, dove ci attende Claudio, entriamo nel passato, il camino immenso ed acceso, il tavolo pronto ad accogliere una grande famiglia, lo stupore e la meraviglia ci avvolge entrambi siamo emozionati, perché questa è una reazione che si verifica abitualmente, tra i visitatori di Molin di Bucchio.

Si continua a parlare della storia del mulino ed in poco tempo non siamo più semplici e sconosciuti visitatori, ma amici, a tal punto di ricevere un invito per il mese successivo per una dimostrazione su come si prepara e si cuoce il pane nel vecchio forno a legna.

La grande cucina ottocentesca, viene quindi usata dalla famiglia Bucchi con lo stesso spirito d'ospitalità, che ha caratterizzato questo luogo in passato. Oppure in occasioni particolari, come per dimostrazioni, eventi o merende a base di formaggi e salumi.
