I maschi hanno i cerci molto lunghi e incurvati. Vola da aprile ad ottobre. Colonizza acque ferme o debolmente correnti come le pozze di corsi d'acqua stagionali. In Italia è segnalata per Sardegna, Sicilia e Calabria. Questo esemplare é stato fotografato in Corsica.
