Ferruccio Elio Arturo Lamborghini (1916-1993)... originario di Renazzo di Cento in provincia di Ferrara... fin da giovane si era interessato di costruzioni meccaniche e… all'inizio degli anni '60 dello scorso secolo… era già diventato un'affermato industriale nel settore dei trattori agricoli e pure dei bruciatori per caldaie da riscaldamento. Essendo un'appassionato di auto sportive ne aveva possedute diverse… anche contemporaneamente… e non gli mancavano di certo alcune di quelle che si fregiavano del Nero Cavallino Rampante. Si racconta che fu proprio dopo un'incontro... terminato non troppo bene essendo ambedue molto convinti delle proprie idee e pure un po' permalosetti... con il costruttore modenese Enzo Anselmo Giuseppe Maria Ferrari (1898-1988)... noto anche come “il Drake”… che Ferruccio decise di iniziare a costruirne lui stesso di vetture sportive ***. E fu così che dopo un po'… al Salone dell'Auto di Torino del 1963… venne esposto un prototipo... che tale rimase: si trattava della Lamborghini 350 GTV… la prima vettura costruita da Ferruccio Lamborghini con la collaborazione del designer di origini fiorentine Franco Scaglione (1916-1993). Il suo propulsore… montato anteriormente… era un 12 cilindri in configurazione a V di 60° e dotato di un doppio albero a camme in testa di 3497 cm3 che sviluppava 360 cavalli di potenza massima ed era stato progettato dall'ingegnere livornese Giotto Bizzarrini… classe 1926… che aveva progettato pure il telaio di tipo tubolare a sezione quadrata. Nel 1964 Bizzarrini abbandonò la Lamborghini per fondare un proprio marchio ed al suo posto entrò in azienda l'ingegnere bolognese Paolo Stanzani (1936-2017) mentre per quanto riguardava la progettazione dei telai venne chiamato l'ingegnere aeronautico Gian Paolo Dallara (classe 1936) colui che poi… nel 1972… fonderà una propria azienda a Varano de Melegari (Pr)… suo paese di origine. Nacque così la Lamborghini 350 GT “Superleggera”… questa visibile nella fotografia… dove il motore della precedente 350 GTV era stato ridotto alla cilindrata di 3464 cm3 e con una potenza di 270 cavalli. La dicitura “Superleggera” indicava che la forma della carrozzeria… di tipo Coupè… era stata sviluppata dalla Carrozzeria Touring di Milano e costruita con parti in alluminio. La 350 GT “Superleggera” fu la prima vettura costruita in serie da Ferruccio Lamborghini e ne vennero assemblati poco più di 400 esemplari (forse 416) tra il 1964 ed il 1968 e fu anche la prima vettura costruita nel neonato stabilimento sito a Sant'Agata Bolognese (Bo): poteva oltrepassare abbondantemente i 250 chilometri orari di velocità massima. Nel 1965 la Carrozzeria Touring ne modificò 2 esemplari rendendoli di tipo Converibile (Spider) mentre in seguito un altro esemplare venne dotato di un tettuccio removibile (hard-top). Nello stesso anno la Carrozzeria Zagato… pure lei milanese… modificò altri 2 esemplari della 350 GT "Superleggera"… poi denominati 350 GTZ… che furono equipaggiati con il motore maggiorato a 3929 cm3 e sviluppante 320 cavalli di potenza massima. ***… Quell'infruttuoso incontro scavò un'autentica voragine fra Ferruccio ed Enzo… che nessuno dei due cercò mai di iniziare a colmare… e non penso per invidia ma più probabilmente per un'innato senso di orgoglio personale. Da testimonianze raccontate da alcuni loro stretti e fedeli collabatori… e pure da alcune interviste a cui ero stato presente in veste di fotografo… ognuno dei due nutriva un'enorme considerazione e rispetto nei confronti dell'altro ma… a causa del comune carattere deciso… nulla venne mai posto sul piatto per ricucire uno strappo che se ben rammendato avrebbe potuto pure dare addito ad una costruttiva collaborazione… visti gli enormi successi ottenuti individualmente da questi due grandissimi talenti. Fantasticando a volte mi piace pensare che adesso Enzo e Ferruccio siano in un luogo tranquillo dove tutti noi andremo... un giorno... e dove ritorneremo ad essere... e per sempre... dei bambini. Incontrandosi su una spiaggia... dove nella sabbia è stata approntata una pista per quelle biglie di plastica al cui interno vi erano le fotografie di noti ciclisti... immagino che non mancherebbero di sfidarsi in un'appassionante gara dove prima di iniziare uno potrebbe scherzosamente dire all'altro: è inutile che gareggi perché tanto il mio Eddy Merckx andrà ben più forte del tuo Felice Gimondi… al ché l'altro sorridendo potrebbe rispondere... arriveremo primi tutti e due… ma non sarò certamente io il primo... fra quelli che arrivano sempre sul secondo gradino del podio. © lucianoserra.d
