Thanks for the articulate comment. In situations like this there are too many stops of difference between the shadow areas and the highlights. Having the blue sky on the right meant having everything black in the tree-lined tunnel. The flash was used but in a minimally invasive way by choice. For the suitcase what to say, I also have them with the uncut suitcase but in this I wanted to stay more on the subject and include it by cutting the feet I did not like! as well as being too tight by removing it all.
