Copenhagen: la Rundetaarn (Torre Rotonda) è uno dei monumenti più affascinanti della città. Eretta nel XVII secolo come osservatorio astronomico, è caratterizzata da una rampa elicoidale che percorre l'edificio fino alla sua sommità, punto panoramico privilegiato sulla capitale danese. Il camminamento, che doveva consentire il transito dei cavalli (per il trasporto dei materiali più pesanti fino all'osservatorio), si compone di 7,5 spire ed ha una lunghezza di 210 metri, con un dislivello di 3,74 metri ad ogni tornata. Il gradiente, lungo le pareti esterne, è del 10%, mentre nella parte interna è del 33% (dati tecnici tratti da Wikipedia EN).
