Punta Tombo, in Argentina, è un'area protetta che ospita una delle più grandi colonie di pinguini di Magellano al mondo, che vengono qui per deporre le uova, crescere i piccoli e poi ripartire. Il pinguino di Magellano è un pinguino di taglia media, con corpo affusolato perfettamente idoneo al nuoto.
