Thanks Fulvio, I worked a lot on this image to darken, even with the masks, but more than that the upper part I did not like, the colors became unnatural.
Unfortunately I shot in the morning and against the light, I also have others taken later and certainly succeed better, but without the overview of the three quarries, so in the end I preferred this one, although I was not fully satisfied with the result. Once arranged I will also publish the others, just to better appreciate the detail of each quarry.
Have a nice day, thank you!

An incredible landscape where the vastness of these quarries and the operational difficulties are clearly evident.

Hello Elizabeth, I see with pleasure an image taken from the overview of Campocecina, one of the most "beautiful" panoramic points on the quarries of Carrara.
These peaks have been "gutted" over the centuries by man, and now the eye stops on the unnatural beauty it admires.
If you are interested I attach the link from where you can make comparisons on the years that pass after the extraction of marble, it was the year 2012.

An enchanting documentation of what man is capable of doing with his work.
Excellent recovery.
A warm greeting
Mario ;-)

Beautiful geometries of the roads of the quarries, taken from a strategic point; give an idea of the work context of the quarrymen and the downstream transport of the marble blocks not without risks.
is a nice document
Congratulations

Image of great breadth and suggestion, embellished in my opinion by the portion of the sea in the upper right corner.
Another valuable element, the network of roads adducing to the places of extraction, which draw a sort of mesh on the stony side of the mountain.
It's already very beautiful like that, let alone in ideal light conditions.
Congratulations Elizabeth!
A warm greeting,
Andrea

Interesting pdr that highlights the anthropic signs for the exploitation of these famous quarries
The light will have been strong, but I also imagine the reverberation of the white marble
Suggestive image
