Grazie per la critica, ma non sono d'accordo su ciò che sostieni, e ti spiego il perché: a mio avviso, la fotografia è arte esattamente come lo è la pittura e deve rappresentare ciò che l'artista, nel mio caso il fotografo, vuol raccontare. Prendiamo in considerazione una fotografia in bianco e nero, bhe, anche quella è irrealistica perché non è come la percepisce l'occhio umano, in quanto l'occhio umano vede in 3D e a colori. Invece le fotografie sia a colori, che in bianco e nero sono pur sempre bidimensionali, ossia in 2D.
Prendendo in considerazione questa mia foto, è venuta esattamente come io desideravo, e come ritengo sia giusto eseguirla, ossia con il recupero alla perfezione sia le alte luci che delle ombre, cosa che sarebbe stata impossibile riuscire a fare con un singolo scatto. Per realizzare questo tipo di fotografia occorre fare più scatti e metterli insieme in fase di sviluppo, allo scopo di ricoprire tutta la gamma dinamica della scena.
Al giorno d'oggi, considerando gli strumenti che ci sono e la tecnologia che ha fatto progressi, vedere una foto con le luci bruciate è assolutamente un errore. Una qualsiasi fotocamera, in condizioni di controluce, con un singolo scatto, riesce a risolvere ancora meno di quello che riesce a risolvere l'occhio umano.
