All'interno del Museo Diocesano di Padova, che da sulla piazza Duomo, ho scorto questa finestra rotta che mi ha incuriosito e non poco. Il locale era gremito di persone che aspettavano ordinatamente in fila per ottenere i biglietti per poter entrare a visitare il bellissimo Battistero di San Giovanni Battista. Molte di esse avranno pensato a quanto fossi strano vedendomi fotografare un vetro rotto, ma incurante è troppo preso non ho badato molto alla loro curiosità. Questa foto potrebbe essere interpretata in vari modi : quello più plausibile forse un matrimonio oppure una festa con dei bambini o altri personaggi. Niente di tutto ciò. O almeno in parte, perché i bambini c'entrano eccome. La situazione però non è proprio indice di una festa, bensì di una circostanza molto più seria e triste. Infatti all'interno del Duomo di Padova si stava celebrando un funerale di un personaggio molto noto in città e non solo. In quei giorni, purtroppo , è venuto a mancare un pioniere della cura ematooncologica dei bambini, nonché fondatore e direttore della clinica padovana di pediatria oncologica e collegato anche a molteplici associazioni quali AIRC, AIL, Croce Rossa, ecc... Il defunto era molto conosciuto non solo Padova, ma anche all'estero. Al termine della funzione, nonché all'uscita della salma sul sagrato della Chiesa, gli addetti della Croce Rossa, hanno lasciato liberi in cielo i palloncini bianchi e rossi, come segno di gratitudine verso un uomo che ha salvato tantissime vite di bambini malati.Un grande applauso a quest'uomo.
