con Canon EF 2.0x III, 1/1000 f/10.0, ISO 1600, hand held. Roma, Italy.

Ultimi raggi di luce, capanno mobile, sdraiato a terra. Riuscire a fotografare questo soggetto a Roma è sempre un' impresa, è un animale schivo, sospettoso ed estremamente intelligente. Depongono senza un nido vero e proprio, sfruttando la somiglianza delle uova ai ciottoli, per questo scelgono in genere letti asciutti di corsi d' acqua, dove sono diffuse le pietre. Una coppia in particolare ha deposto due uova vicinissimo alla strada, costeggiando una vera e propria discarica abusiva. La loro astuzia li porta a falsi atteggiamenti di cova e allarmi in zone distanti almeno 500 metri dal nido, comportamento che indica una location sbagliata all' eventuale intruso. In questo caso purtroppo la schiusa non è arrivata per colpa di una predazione delle uova, presumo di una cornacchia.
