Dopo aver avuto la fortuna di provare il tuo esemplare la la voglia di prendere il 100-500 è stata tanto e la scelta è stata molto meditata dato l'elevato costo dell'ottica ma, una volta provato sul campo in Zambia, il 100-500 si è dimostrato nettamente superiore al 100-400 II e di dimensioni così piccole tali da consentirmi di portare in un Tamrac Expedition 5:
- la R3;
- la R6;
- RF 15-35 f2.8 IS;
- RF 50 1.2;
- RF 70-200 f2.8 IS;
- RF 100-500;
- adattatore EF-RF;
- TC 2x III.
In un separato zainetto avevo portato, anche, il Canon EF 300 f2.8 IS II.
