Kargil, la seconda città più grande del Ladakh, è orgogliosamente musulmana ed è caratterizzata da una via centrale caotica e affollata, piena di laboratori e negozi. In un caldo pomeriggio, incuranti delle macchine e del rumore del traffico (che in India è pazzesco!), queste due bambine stavano giocando sul sedile di una Vespa parcheggiata a lato della strada principale trafficata, come se fossero in un parco.
