Durante l'escursione naturalistica all'Isola di May sono passata accanto, con il gommone, a Bass Rock, un vero e proprio paradiso per le sule bassane: qui ogni anno nidiciano in gran numero e, essendo una riserva integrale, nessuno le disturba.
