Wow beautiful dragonfly series!
But in order not to let them escape, do you go at dawn or are you silent and fast?
And what difference do you find in this type of macro not too pushed with 100-500?
Thanks ;-)

Thanks for the explanation! And congratulations again for the beautiful photos ;-)
I only own the 100L and the 200Lii and I was wondering if it was better to change with the 100-500.

Seeing your (beautiful) galleries I would say no: the 100-500 is complementary to the 100 2.8, not a substitute, since you lose 1-2 stops of light with zoom, and you feel it even more on the 200 2.8; Since you do a lot of portraiture, the 100-500 is certainly usable but suboptimal (as well as such a lens would put the subject in awe a lot :-D ) If you have the
willingness to take it as an additional lens surely it would be a great addition, but it is not a substitute for what you already have (that could be the new 100-300 2.8, but I think it is out of the question for us ordinary people :-P )

Eh already that costs a bit 'too much for those who photograph for fun .. thanks for the advice ;-) then for the moment I remain as I am and in the future who knows I could add it.

Of nothing, imagine! If you have the opportunity to add it to the kit is really super recommended ;-)

Thanks Fulvio, eh I turned a lot ;-) Actually, the passion for photography was born secondarily to my passion for entomology :-D
