Una maschio molto grande ed insolitamente scuro ed una femmina giovane ed insolitamente chiara! Li abbiamo trovati la prima sera che siamo arrivati alle marsh intenti ai rituali del corteggiamento: per andare in estro la femmina di ghepardo, oltre a scegliere il maschio, deve sviluppare aggressività per cui gli inzi sono quasi sempre piuttosto violenti con il maschio( spesso due fratelli )che in pratica sequestra la femmina impdendole di allontanarsi o comunque di muoversi liberamente. Noi abbiamo sorpreso questa insolita e bellissima coppia nel momento in cui il maschio era stato chiaramente accettato ma ancora non era pronta; nei giorni successivi abbiamo cercato invano di ritrovarli perchè vedere l' accoppiamento sarebbe davvero stato piuttosto interessante e raro. Nel momento in cui ho scattato la femmina aveva notato uno sciacallo che si aggirava nelle vicinanze. Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania Febbraio 2013
