The 100 f 2.8 macro L IS usm is a nice lens. It returns a great detail and a blurred background that enhances the subject, I have it too and I really like its rendering that can range from macro to portrait without problems.
Your photo is very beautiful, maybe a little more depth of field, maybe closing at f. 11 or a little further to try to have on the focal plane also the nose / muzzle of the lizard. Or with a photo-stacking of multiple images you could have had the entire head of the animal in focus.

Il 100 f 2.8 macro L IS usm è una bella lente. Restituisce un gran bel dettaglio ed uno sfuocato di fondo che esalta il soggetto, ce l'ho anche io e mi piace moltissimo la sua resa che può spaziare dalla macro al ritratto senza problemi.
La tua foto è molto bella, forse un pochetto più di profondità di campo, magari chiudendo a f. 11 o poco oltre per cercare di avere sul piano focale anche il naso/muso della lucertola. Oppure con un foto-stacking di più immagini avresti potuto avere a fuoco l'intera testa dell'animaletto.
Comunque è una foto molto gradevole con uno sfondo che mette in risalto il soggetto e dei bei colori in armonia.
