Shabnam è una delle mie immagini di Skin Project in mostra a Gallarate presso Civico 3 nell'ambito del 10mo Festival Fotografico Europeo. Mentre stavo ritraendo le ragazze dello Sheroes Hangout, un bar dove lavorano ragazze sfregiate da attacchi con l'acido, un crimine ancora diffuso in India, una bambina è corsa verso la mamma e l'ha baciata. Un gesto spontaneo e affettuoso che dischiude un sorriso che si fa largo in un volto deturpato e lo trasfigura di bellezza. Questa immagine è stata usata dalla NGO che gestisce lo Sheroes per promuovere il progetto di legge di maternità retribuita per le madri vittime dell'attacco con l'acido. In mostra fino al 22 maggio a Gallarate.
