, 1/13 f/11.0, ISO 800, tripod.

Comp. esp. +1/3 flash man. scatto rem.

I agree with the difficulties in bringing out the detail of the livery of these specimens;
especially on the extreme edges of the wings.
The photo you propose is very beautiful for the composition, and the lighting well balanced.
congratulations

Thank you all.
Thanks also to Ladislav for the recognition. I confess that with the licenidi I struggle to recognize them seem most of the same even if some difference exists.

My experience suggests me to look at your photos and take an example of them. The sharpness when there is there is and here it does not seem to me that it is missing.

A good result for this subjects with a livery that is difficult to shoot. Regarding the questions you ask in the caption, in my experience, I believe that the problem lies in the details so fine that to be able to appreciate them you can not resize the image and you can not even close the diaphragm too much falling into diffraction problems. In addition, given the small size of the subject, on the FF sensor an extension tube can help to go a little beyond the 1:1 reproduction ratio natively allowed by almost all macro optics.

Composition, lighting and very beautiful colors! Sincere congratulations.
You can't imagine how many images of these subjects I discarded in my not short experience, but I photograph without a tripod, and I see it badly.
